Introduction

Welcome to my blog! My name is Joe and I'm actually creating this blog for a religion class, but the main purpose of it is to help other people find answers to questions they may have had for a long time--questions that I myself had for a long time, but then I found out the answers were right in front of me--in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I had been raised by a Mormon family, but kind of just went with it because that's the way I was raised; I eventually had to find out for myself whether or not what I had been given all my life was true. Loooooooong story short, I eventually came to God in prayer and asked him to show me whether or not all these things the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (the true name of the Mormon church) taught were true, because if they weren't, then I was going to move on, and continue my search for answers to what I call Questions of the Soul, or those questions that just about everyone has: Is there really a God? If there is, why am I here on earth? What's going to happen when I die? Where do I come from--who am I?--Those are some examples. I had faith that if I was really trying to find truth--and not just some half truth--God would help me find it. Well, he did. I received an answer by the power, or prompting of the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon was true, as well as the things taught in it. I'm going to use this blog to show how the Book of Mormon really does provide answers to those "questions of the soul", and invite anyone who finds this to pray and ask God if these things are true--you can all know for yourself, he loves you and wants you to be truly happy, and knowing these things--and knowing that these things are true--will help do that!
